aaarrghh, am sitting on my hands but they are escaping and heading for the keyboard ...

more or less verbatim quote from the Goddaughter, on the Faith summer session:

"Well there's all that evolution stuff, which is a bit boring, but apart from that it's really great, and they don't have too much of it so it's still worth going"

Are you aware that the Roman Catholic Church is The harlot of Revelation 17 and the Pope is the Beast of Revelation 13

Re: the priesthole at Margaret Clitherow's house. When times were getting more oppressive, Margaret actually had a priesthole made with a secret entrance at the top of the stairs. The priesthole was technically in her sister in law's house, Millicent Calvert, who also continued to practice the 'Old Faith'. Both houses were rented from the Deanery. This was one reason that Margaret refused to go to trial, as this fact would have come out and Millicent would have been in trouble as well.Other reasons were that her children would have been tortured for information against her and also that the only people allowed to be on the jury against her would be either people who could be relied on to find her guilty or those who would not dare to find her innocent, and the jury found as the judge directed them anyway - not much point standing then? British Justice then was not as it is now. Ref. "St. Margaret Clitherow" by archivist Katherine Longley. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Hilary Murray.
