I am a Catholic Dad living in Kingston Upon Hull in Yorkshire.
I like fun stuff like juggling, drawing, unicycling, toy trains, building blocks and video games. I like interesting stuff like history, theology, science and computers.
I find that all of these things have something to do with God.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down in mercy upon England thy "Dowry" and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee.
By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour and our hope was given unto the world; and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more.
Plead for us thy children, whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the cross.
O sorrowful Mother! intercede for our separated brethren, that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the supreme Shepherd, the Vicar of thy Son.
Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good works we may all deserve to see and praise God, together with thee, in our heavenly home.
Amen.
O God, our heavenly Father, protect and bless us. Deepen and strengthen our love for each other day by day.
Grant that by thy mercy, neither of us may ever say one unkind word to the other. Forgive and correct our faults, and make us constantly to forgive one another should one of us unconsciously hurt the other.
Make us and keep us sound and well in body, alert in mind, tender in heart, and devout in spirit. O Lord, grant us each to rise to the other's best. Then, we pray thee, add to our common life such virtues as only thou canst give.
And so, O Father, consecrate our life and love completely to thy worship, and to the service of all about us, especially those whom thou hast appointed us to serve, that we may always stand before thee in happiness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Excellent news.
Let us hope Ruth Dudley Edwards, and others, ask some pertinent questions such as:
1) Can Fr. Harrison and Fr. Gareth Jones confirm that exile to South Africa was a consequence of Br. Lewis refusing to withdraw his appeal to Rome?
2) Can Fr. Harrison and Fr. Gareth Jones indicate what they discussed with Fr. Philip Cleevely this week when they descended upon him with uttermost pastoral insensitivity the day before his mother's funeral?
3) Whether Fr. Harrison can confirm the veracity of the remark attributed to him that Fr. Dermot should be exiled for 'at least five years'?

What in the name of God is going on? Who do these men think they are? Do they really possess this kind of power, and if they do, why?
These two clerics are at best insensitive bullies, at worst very dangerous men!
What is happening to our church when grown men can be threatened and exiled. It's time that someone in high office pointed out to Jones and Harrison that we are no longer in the dark ages!

I can't believe that they are still employing Fr Gareth Jones to act as a canonical consultant. What jurisdiction does he have? I would have told him to bu**er off!

I don't think that's a canonical term, but it sounds darn good to me!

Obviously Fr Ignatius Harrison is using Fr Gareth Jones as a hatchet man-amongst other things.
We must note: However well he may favour the young canonical consultant, he has not yet invited Fr Jones into the Novitiate at The Brompton Oratory. That may come later of course, in return for his vile assistance in the matter of the Birmingham 3.

We can only pray that the other fathers of the London Oratory have the good sense to vote Fr. Jones out.

The Novice Master would certainly have to watch his back.

I think the Oratorians still use blackballing. I am quite sure that not all members of the community would find Fr Jones congenial, and may wonder if they too would fall on his knife. Best avoided and kept at arm's lenght methinks.

If Basil Robertson's allegations are indeed correct, and I have no reason to believe they're not, I find the actions against all three unspeakable and an utter outrage.
This is no longer 'a private matter'. It is a monstrous act of injustice and an appalling way to treat these three men.
I'm sorry to say that the congregation has been lied to throughout and it is not what I expect of an Oratory.
Just who in the hierarchy is being protected, and why?

The position of Jack Valero, Frs Harrison, Selden Duffield and Jones is completely untenable. Is it any wonder that this story is getting more and more publicity. Did they really think that this could be brushed under the carpet?

How is it possible for the likes of Harrison and his weird sidekick (Jones) to dictate the future of these devoted priests?
In this country how can one man deprive another of his liberty and banish him into exile for as long as he wishes, on a trumped up charge?
Under the law of this land, we all have human rights, even paedo,s and mass murderers languishing in prison have human rights.
Yet, these poor priests are robbed of their dignity, their liberty and their voice?
The B3 are victims of institutional abuse, they have been bullied and abused in the worst possible way by a pair of cowards.
Two men-and I use that term loosely-who are neither worthy of wearing the Roman collar nor being addressed as Father.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
1903 Authority is exercised legitimately only when it seeks the common good of the group concerned and if it employs morally licit means to attain it. If rulers were to enact unjust laws or take measures contrary to the moral order, such arrangements would not be binding in conscience. In such a case, "authority breaks down completely and results in shameful abuse."
