Kneeling for Communion

Is allowed.
The following are extracts from two letters sent by the CDF in 2002. This is old news but it's good to be reminded now and then...
In fact, as His Eminence, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger has recently emphasized, the practice of kneeling for Holy Communion has in its favor a centuries-old tradition, and it is a particularly expressive sign of adoration, completely appropriate in light of the true, real and substantial presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ under the consecrated species.

Even where the Congregation has approved of legislation denoting standing as the posture for Holy Communion, in accordance with the adaptations permitted to the Conferences of Bishops by the Institution Generalis Missalis Romani n. 160, paragraph 2, it has done so with the stipulation that communicants who choose to kneel are not to be denied Holy Communion on these grounds.

So now you know.

Unless their is some kind of kneeler, it is difficult to kneel on the floor. Communicants are currently able to kneel at the Holy Name Church in Manchester. It will be interesting to see whether the Jesuits maintain this possibility when they take over from the Oratory fathers.
Our Lady Help of Christians - pray for us.
St Athanasius - pray for us
All Ye English Martyrs - pray for us.
St. Charles Lwanga and Companion Martyrs of Uganda, who died resisting homosexual rape - pray for us.
St Peter Alcantara - pray for us.
Collect for the Feast of St Peter Alcantara
O God, who didst vouchsafe to ennoble blessed Peter, Thy Confessor, by the gift of marvelous penance and highest contemplation: grant, we beseech Thee, that by his merits pleading for us, we may so mortify our bodies as the more easily to appreciate the things of heaven.

You used to be able to kneel at the Carmelites in Kensington too but last time I was there (a few months ago) it was all standing - anyone know the current situation there?

Here is a video on why we should receive Communion on the tongue:
Jesus is on the floor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVjVNb4bSnU)
And, by the way, there are lots of other fantastic videos on that site (www.truefaith.tv)
One is about the sinfulness of lustful thoughts and how to deal with them:

This chap is brilliant.

"Kneeling and on the tongue" is not just permitted, or a possible alternative method of reception.
It is the normative way of receiving Holy Communion in the Western Church.
It is absurd that no provision is made for the universal norm in our churches.

Tim, the answer is to go to the Oratory at 9am on a Sunday or Spanish Place at 9.30am.
Kneeling is mandatory at both.
