Spot the deliberate mistake?
Blogged by James Preece on 16th January 2013
One of the problems with blogs is that nobody fact checks them and they are riddled with errors. For authentic top quality journalism you have to check out a proper newspaper, like the front cover of this week's Universe.

The caption reads: "...are chased by two Roman soldiers..."
Dude! Those are clearly Vikings.

I was thinking that. Did anyone check whether or not they knew the meaning of fear?

In the interest of inclusivity, they look to me like Roman and Celt, makes little difference, by the look of their anger and/or fear, they're probably Roman Catholic Celtic (E&W) Bishops.

At the risk of committing thoughtcrime and hate speech, with apologies in advance, I have a countertheory: this being Yorkshire , could this be five seconds after trying to test the cousin-author Bill Bryson's aphorism "Never ask a Yorkshireman a question that can't be answered by "pint of Tetley's" " ?

Dear James,
Mea Culpa, we're not sure how that one slipped through, but the staff have asked me to convey apologies.
Thanks, though, for the general compliment about The Universe, it's nice to know that our apostolate, and the hard work of the staff, is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Joseph Kelly,
Managing Editor
